Meet Your Therapy Team
Michael Becker
M.Ed., LPC
I became a therapist because I’ve been where you are. I know how it feels to face depression, anxiety, and unhealthy coping habits. My own journey with therapy showed me how powerful it can be to have someone walk alongside you as you work through these challenges. My first therapist helped me see possibilities I couldn’t get to on my own, and that experience inspired me to help others in the same way.
For years, I’ve worked with people navigating their own struggles, helping them identify what’s holding them back and find better ways to move forward. That often means working through not just present-day stressors, but also old wounds or past experiences that still impact daily life. Healing from past trauma can be a big part of creating the future you want, and I’m here to help you move through that process.
In our work together, we’ll explore what’s causing the stress, self-doubt, or emotional pain in your life. Whether it’s everyday challenges, big life changes, or long-standing patterns, we’ll figure out what’s not working and create a plan for positive change. Here’s how I can help:
- Tackling life stressors and identifying your “triggers”
- Challenging negative or self-defeating thought patterns
- Replacing unhelpful habits with healthier ones
- Building tools to handle unwanted thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
I believe therapy should feel empowering and even enjoyable. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and encouraged as you take steps toward the life you want.
If you’re ready to start making real, lasting changes, I’d love to work with you. Let’s take the first step together.

I became a therapist because I deeply value the human experience and enjoy being there for people during those moments when “life happens.” Sometimes, it just helps to have someone who will listen without judgment, offer insight, and give you a fresh perspective. Whether you’re struggling with current challenges or working through past wounds that still affect you today, therapy can help bring clarity and healing.
With decades of experience, I’ve helped people navigate challenges like depression, anxiety, parenting struggles, tough life transitions, relationship issues, grief, and uncertainty. I take the time to understand your story, including any past experiences that may still be shaping your present, so we can uncover unhelpful patterns and build healthier ways to move forward.
Let’s work together to find your path to a healthier, more balanced version of yourself – one where you’re thriving, not just getting by.
Reach out today – I’d love to hear from you!

EMDR Specialist
Are you feeling overwhelmed by your thoughts or emotions, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or quietly questioning yourself and your direction in life? Many people come to therapy feeling exhausted from just trying to hold it all together. You don’t have to do that alone.
I became a therapist because I am human, and because I know that suffering is part of the human experience. I’ve been in the client’s chair myself. I know what it’s like to carry pain internally while still showing up for life on the outside. I also know how powerful it can be to feel truly seen, supported, and guided through that pain rather than facing it in isolation.
In our work together, I offer a compassionate, grounded space where your experiences are honored and your goals matter. Using evidence-based approaches, most notably EMDR, I help clients process life experiences, understand their inner world with greater clarity, and build tools that support calmness, self-compassion, confidence, and trust in themselves. My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your strengths and move toward the life you want to embody.
No matter where you are starting from, meaningful change is possible. Healing doesn’t mean eliminating struggle, it means learning how to meet yourself with curiosity, courage, and care.
If you’re ready to take the next step toward a more connected and authentic relationship with yourself, Id be honored to support you.
Reach out today to begin the process, we’ll take it one step at a time, together!

Being a therapist isn’t just my career – it’s my passion. I love helping people see how important it is to take care of themselves. If we cannot show up for ourselves, how can we be our best for anyone else?
Our day-to-day lives are often shaped by what we’ve been through, especially in childhood. Unresolved trauma can show up as anxiety, depression, unhealthy habits, coping with substances, or even PTSD without us realizing it. If you’re feeling stuck or weighed down by your past or current challenges, I’m here to help. I’m trained in trauma-focused approaches like Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Talking about trauma can feel overwhelming, but it’s an important step in healing both your inner child and your present self. Once we shed light on the past, the future becomes a lot clearer.
I also focus on connecting the mind and body in my practice. It’s easy to get so caught up in overthinking that we lose touch with how we actually feel. If you’re struggling to understand or express your emotions, you’re not alone. Society often teaches us to push through and keep moving, but rarely encourages us to slow down, name our feelings, and challenge negative thoughts. Let’s take that time together and start making changes at your own pace.
I’d love to help you on your healing journey. Reach out today – I’m here for you!

Couples and Relationship Specialist
Also Providing Individual Therapy Services
Relationships can be one of the most meaningful parts of our lives, but they can also be one of the greatest sources of stress, frustration, and emotional pain. Whether you’re navigating communication challenges, trust issues, parenting disagreements, life transitions, or feeling disconnected from your partner, therapy can provide the support and guidance needed to create healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
I specialize in working with couples and helping partners strengthen communication, rebuild trust, deepen emotional connection, and navigate difficult decisions about the future of their relationship. I work with couples in all stages of life, including premarital couples, married couples, divorced or separated co-parents, LGBTQ+ relationships, and partners who may be questioning whether they can continue moving forward together. Couples therapy isn’t only for relationships in crisis, it can also be a proactive investment in maintaining a strong, healthy partnership and preventing future challenges.
As a Gottman-Certified clinician, I utilize evidence-based interventions grounded in decades of relationship research. My approach is tailored to the unique needs of each couple, helping partners gain a deeper understanding of one another, communicate more effectively, resolve conflict constructively, and foster greater empathy, intimacy, and connection.
In addition to couples counseling, I also work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions, stress management difficulties, family challenges, parenting concerns, and relationship-related issues. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches, I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with practical tools to improve their relationships with others and with themselves.
Whether you’re looking to strengthen your relationship, navigate a difficult season, or invest in your personal growth, I look forward to helping you create meaningful and lasting change.
